By Omar Rashan Hooks
I cherish life even though
I ain’t get a chance to live
I grew up in placements and prison
Was I born just to come here?
Reality, is, actually, Omar never had any chances
Reality is, excuse me, nah, Im serious when I say it
How can you subdue my fury?
When it glowers hot?
I grew into a tree when I started from a sapling
Back then I thought I had it mapped out
Time get realer when you start thinking about others, and
I love my mother more than I love myself
How can I be alive when I’m dead inside?
Staring down a loaded gun before the bullet arrive
